Volleyball spikes competition

   “Our main goal is to go to states,” senior Dusti Fisher says about the new volleyball season.

   The biggest changes with the team this season arethe new freshmen and the new head coach Jason Ward.

   “We hope to have a good season,” says Ward. Alongside Ward, Allison Grattan isassistant coaching this season.

   There are six seniors leading the volleyball team this year includingKensey Bergdorf, Alicia Boggs, Dusti Fisher, JarahManns, Kelli Poling, and Kacie Whitney.

   The first scrimmage of the season was on Tuesday, August 27 against Ravenswood with both Junior Varsity and Varsity winning. The second scrimmage was on August 29 against Wirt Countywhere they tied. The first game of the season is on Wednesday, September 4 at South Charleston at 6 PM.
